Due to climate change, nature and biodiversity are under pressure
With Forest Connection,a fund created within the KBS we want to contribute to restore nature, preserve biodiversity and strengthen the relationship between people and nature in our direct neighborhood, which is the Brabantse Wouden.
Forest connection also wants to connect people with nature in this extraordinary Forest.

OUR VISION
OUR MISSION
Create a vast, vibrant and connected forest
Expand and reconnect the Brabantse Wouden through an additional 1250 ha of nature
Nature core zone
Expand existing forest (~600ha)
Convert non-nature land inside current forests to forest
Buffers
Create nature buffers around existing forests (~250ha)
Convert non-nature land adjacent to current forests to forest
Land corridors
Reconnect existing forests with 11 land corridors3 (~400ha)
Revalorize ecosystem land connections by converting to forest, hedges and other nature
Water corridors
Reconnect existing forests through 8 water corridors4
Revalorize water connections e.g., through beddings and removing biodiversity migration bottlenecks
